Stockholm born, Bristol based artist Lina Löfstrand is working in collaboration with UK charity Horseworld, a rescue that rehabilitates and re-homes horses. They are based outside Bristol in Whitchurch, the public is welcomed to experience and learn about the important work of Horseworld and have the opportunity to meet with the rescued horses and donkeys.

Horseworld will be present at Bristol’s Biggest Market on the 9th of June where a collection of paintings created by the horses and donkeys will be exhibited. The horses have been taught to paint through ‘clicker-training’, which is a form of force-free training where the horse’s positive behavior is responded with positive reinforcement to motivate the horse’s behavior.
Horseworld will be bringing some donkeys or small ponies that will be present at the market with a representative from the charity that will meet with the public to explain HorseWorld’s work and the importance of the rescues and rehabilitations.

This project and the exhibited paintings explore the themes of animal psychology, and the function of creation as a means of catharsis.
